With sensitivity and chilling insights, many of poems highlight the quest of women to be free.
“While reading Maria’s poetry, it is important to be informed that she believed she was divulging her personal and private inner self through her poems,” wrote Albert Sciaky, Maria’s loving husband of fifty years.
The Poems of Maria Caridad Lara Sciaky are Maria's legacy.
She wrote them in mostly in the 1960's while raising children in New York City. She'd often hold artist solans and was an active memeber in the artistic community of NYC.
And she was on the Board of many muesums.
