To give special thanks for members of the Maine National Guard and families of soldiers in Iraq the trophy was displayed at the Air National Guard Base in Bangor. Governor John Baldacci arranged for the Red Sox trophy to come to Maine just after the team won the 2007 series. In 2004, photo of the Governor carrying the trophy, he brought the trophy to the state after the historic ‘curse breaking’ win.(to see more 2004 photos please contact Ramona du Houx)
